#9 AWS User Group Bosnia Meetup

The last AWS meetup held in Mistral was a special occasion to meet with a real Amazonian, AWS Enterprise Solutions Architect Zlatan Džinić who selflessly shared his experience of working at Amazon as well as his in-depth knowledge of the latest technologies and industry know-how.

The #9 AWS User Group Bosnia Meetup with Zlatan focused on options available for using machine learning on AWS. One of the reasons for the success of AWS is their willingness to turn to the community for feedback and implement the changes for an enhanced community experience

As AWS partners, we were privileged to engage with him on two occasions as he held a closed Lunch & Learn session before the Meetup.

To justify our enthusiasm regarding his recent visit, here are some facts about Zlatan:
- born in Sarajevo, grew up in Cape Town
- based in Southern California
- done extensive work across four different continents
- holds multiple awards
- spent most of his career in leadership positions across multiple departments
- current main focus: Infrastructure and Development of Serverless, Microservices and Containerized Solutions, IoT, Deep Learning, ML and AI

regular speaker at major technology conferences and universities worldwide

Even though the announcement of this Meetup was last minute, the turnout was fantastic with FACE TV crew coming to film our star guest. The AWS group members and other guests used the Meetup opportunity to ask various questions after Zlatan’s presentation, so no wonder we socialized well into the evening hours.
